A proposta deste texto é explicar como o conceito ordem pode ser utilizado em uma discussão geográfica, empregando-o como chave para a compreensão de fenômenos macropolíticos ou internacionais. Contudo, faz-se necessário recorrer primeiramente à lógica causal do filósofo Henri Bergson e, posteriormente, à epistemologia da Geografia para compreender a importância da relação causa-efeito, assim como sua natureza, em análises geopolíticas, ou seja, em estudos dedicados à compreensão das relações entre as organizações políticas e o espaço. Destaca-se, primeiramente, o papel adotado pelo Estado – agente geopolítico clássico no estudo de fenômenos de organização do espaço de grande proporção –, assim como suas relações de interdependência com poderes políticos de força equivalente ou superior. Superado esse momento, por fim, verifica-se que o pressuposto no qual o Estado e suas ações explicariam plenamente o que tem se chamado “nova ordem mundial” torna-se insuficiente haja vista a existência de outras forças, muitas vezes dissimuladas, capazes de alterar consideravelmente o ordenamento espacial em escala mundial
The purpose of this paper is to explain how the concept order can be used in a geographical discussion, employing it as a key to understanding macro-political or international phenomena. However, it is necessary to resort firstly to the causal logic of the philosopher Henri Bergson and, then, to the epistemology of Geography to understand the importance of the cause-effect relationship, as well as its nature, in geopolitical analyses, in other words, in studies dedicated to understanding of the relationships between the political organization and the space. Should be noted, first, the role adopted by the State – classic geopolitical agent in the study of phenomena of spatial organization of large proportion –, as well as their relations of interdependence with political powers with equal or superior force. Overcome this moment, finally, is verified that the presupposition in which the State and its actions explain fully what has been called “new world order” becomes insufficient given the existence of other forces, often disguised, able to alter considerably the spatial organization in worldwide scale.
