Este artigo examina aspectos da criação e da trajetória do Laboratório de História Oral da UFSC e busca mapear algumas das prerrogativas e pressupostos que regeram o estabelecimento desta iniciativa pioneira no Brasil. Pretende-se, assim, compreender o vínculo existente entre este empreendimento e a pesquisa e entrevistas do historiador Simão Willemann ali desenvolvidas durante a década de 1970. Para tanto, são tomadas como guias teórico-metodológicos publicações brasileiras acerca da história oral editadas no país entre a década de 1970 e 1990.
This article examines aspects of the creation and trajectory of the UFSC Oral History Laboratory and seeks to map some of the prerogatives and assumptions that governed the establishment of this pioneering initiative in Brazil. The aim is to understand the link between this enterprise and the research and interviews of the historian Simão Willemann, developed in this space during the 1970s. For this, Brazilian publications on oral history published between the 1970s and 1990s are taken as theoretical-methodological guides.
