Neste trabalho foram estudadas a composição fl orística e estrutura
fitossociológica de um fragmento de Floresta Ombrófi la Mista no
município de Sertão, RS, com área aproximada de 700 ha. A análise
estrutural destaca Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze, como espécie
dominante, principalmente na periferia do fragmento apresentando um
número relativamente menor de indivíduos no interior da fl oresta.

This paper appraises the study of the floristic composition and
phytosociological structure of a Mixed Ombrophylous Forest fragment in
the city of Sertão, RS, with an approximate area of 700 ha. The structural
analysis pointed the Araucaria angustifolia as a dominant species, mainly
in the fragment surroundings, and presenting fewer individuals inside
the forest.
