As obras do general prussiano Carl von Clausewitz e do sociólogo francês Raymond Aron detém grande importância no contexto da disciplina de teoria de relações internacionais. As considerações clausewitzianas sobre a guerra e as contribuições aronianas no que diz respeito à escola realista se revestem de importância. No entanto, a relação entre ambos os autores é complexa. O objetivo do artigo aqui presente é o de examinar essa relação. Elenca-se como hipótese a ideia de que as primeiras interpretações aronianas sobre Clausewitz corroboravam, em partes, com vulgarizações. Adicionalmente, o artigo também busca explorar as relações entre as obras de Montesquieu e Clausewitz, no sentido de descobrir como o primeiro pode ter influenciado o segundo.
The works of prussian general Carl von Clausewitz and of french sociologist Raymond Aron hold great importance in the greater circle of international relations theory. Clausewitzian considerations on war and aronian contributions on realist thought are themes that revel in importance. However, the relationship between them is complex. The objective of this paper is to analyse this relationship. It is held as hypothesis the idea that the first aronian interpretations on Clausewitz were, partly, vulgarized. Additionally, this article also aims to explore the relationship between Montesquieu and Clausewitz, in the sense of discovering the impact of the former over the latter.
