O trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar se a inovação tecnológica na irrigação pode vir a ser uma alternativa para o crescimento sustentável da agricultura no estado do Ceará. Para isso, foram analisados artigos cientÃficos publicados nos últimos cinco anos em periódicos nacionais classificados pelo Qualis da CAPES, assim como a gestão da inovação tecnológica na irrigação do estado do Ceará e como essa inovação poderá contribuir para o desenvolvimento sustentável da agricultura no Estado. Os resultados demonstram que as pesquisas avaliadas não chegaram à s áreas irrigadas cearenses. As OEPAs são fundamentais para que a inovação tecnológica chegue ao campo, pois onde há OEPAs se sobressai o conhecimento e o Ceará é um dos quatro estados da federação que não tem uma instituição neste sentido. Algumas ações são necessárias para realizar atividades inovadoras na irrigação. A principal, portanto, seria a criação de uma nova OEPA e assim fortalecer as polÃticas de C,T&I na agricultura O fortalecimento de OSCIP´s voltadas para P,D&I em irrigação também é um fator importante a ser apoiado para que seja gerada inovação tecnológica no meio rural.
The study aimed to assess whether technological innovation in irrigation might be an alternative for the sustainable growth of agriculture in the state of Ceara. For this, we analyzed published scientific articles in the last five years in national journalsclassified by Qualis CAPES, as well as the management of technological innovation in irrigation in the state of Ceara and how this innovation can contribute to the sustainable development of agriculture in the state. The results show that the studies evaluated did not reach the irrigated areas of Ceará. The OEPAsare essential for technological innovation to reach the field, because where there stands OEPAs knowledge and Ceara is afederation of four states that does not have an institution in thissense. Some actions are necessary to carry out innovative activities in irrigation. The key, therefore, would be to create anew OEPA and thus strengthen policies, T & I in agricultureStrengthening OSCIP's focused on R, D & I irrigation is also animportant factor to be supported to be generated technological innovation in rural areas.
