O estudo apresenta dados sobre as atividades de participação política realizadas entre 2014 e 2023 pelas associações que fazem parte do Conselho Alemão de Deficiência. O texto inicia com revisão de literatura sobre barreiras à participação política de pessoas com deficiência, seguida de breve histórico deste tipo de associativismo na Alemanha. Os dados foram mapeados analisando estatutos, sites e redes sociais oficiais das associações. Os principais objetivos das associações são a representação dos interesses de pessoas com deficiência e doenças raras/crônicas; a busca pela melhoria da qualidade de vida e a divulgação de informações, produção de conhecimentos e o apoio à pesquisa e à ciência. Observa-se expressiva participação política, com a presença em espaços de deliberação centrais na formulação de políticas de deficiência, atuação em redes e a realização do monitoramento da implementação da Convenção sobre os Direitos das Pessoas com Deficiência na Alemanha.
The study presents data on political participation activities carried out between 2014 and 2023 by associations that are part of the German Disability Council. The text begins with a literature review on barriers to the political participation of persons with disabilities, followed by a brief history of this type of association in Germany. The data was mapped by analyzing the associations' statutes, websites, and official social media pages. The main objectives of the associations are to represent the interests of persons with disabilities and rare/chronic diseases; improve the quality of life and the dissemination of information, production of knowledge, and support for research and science. There is significant political participation, with presence in central deliberation spaces in the formulation of disability policies, working in networks, and monitoring the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Germany.
