O presente artigo tem como objetivo realizar uma leitura do modo como a biopolítica, em autores como Foucault e Agamben, reflete sobre a economia em sua constituição contemporânea, desde a sua formação moderna, numa ordem que é liberal e capitalista. Em um primeiro momento, busca-se apresentar uma contextualização, indicando a relação entre Mercado e Estado no mundo moderno, destacando alguns destes aspectos fundamentais. Em seguida, almeja-se refletir e expor a relação entre a biopolítica e economia, privilegiando aquilo que Foucault realizou em Nascimento da Biopolítica e, logo depois, apresentar as percepções de Agamben sobre o capitalismo, destacando o livro O Reino e a Glória. Não se propondo uma reflexão fechada, busca-se apresentar as reflexões dos autores, marcada pela leitura biopolítica, sobre a hegemonia do econômico na contemporaneidade.
This article aims to read how biopolitics, in authors such as Foucault and Agamben, reflects on the economy in its contemporary constitution, since its modern formation, in a liberal and capitalist order. At first, we seek to present a contextualization, indicating the relationship between market and state in the modern world, highlighting some of these fundamental aspects. Then, it aims to reflect and expose the relationship between bio policy and economics, focusing on what Foucault accomplished in biopolitcs’ born and, soon after, presenting Agamben's perceptions of capitalism, highlighting the book The Kingdom and the Glory. Not proposing a closed reflection, we seek to present the authors' reflections, marked by the biopolitic reading, about the hegemony of the economic in contemporary times.
