Durante o ano de 2018 a Universidade Estadual de Alagoas -Uneal implantou o Projeto de Extensão Terceira Idade na Universidade contando com 132 pessoas idosas matriculadas. O Estatuto do Idoso, Lei nº 10.741/2003 define que ações educacionais compõem um dos direitos do idoso, e a LDB, Lei nº 9394/96, no seu art. 37 garante a educação ao longo da vida. Dessa forma, a pessoa idosa pode e deve continuar inclusa em ações educativas e sociais, conforme asua realidade. A pesquisa faz parte de um recorte do Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso de Pedagogia e objetiva analisar as cartas que as pessoas idosas, matriculadas no referido projeto escreveram, buscando contemplar os sentimentos expressos, a avaliação e a importância de tal experiência em suas vidas. Para tanto, o estudo tem como procedimento metodológico a pesquisa bibliográfica e a documental do instrumento carta. A análise dos dados ocorreu mediante a técnica de análise de conteúdos de Bardin (2011). Autores como Bakhtin (1997), Marcuschi (2008) e Silva (2002), entre outros, serviram de base para a compreensão do gênero textual e, em especial, a carta pessoal. Cachioni (1998), entre outras referências, contribuíram com o estudo do envelhecimento bem-sucedido. Esta pesquisa reveloua importância do Projeto de Extensão Terceira Idade na Universidade no fomento do bem-estar físico e psicossocial das pessoas idosas envolvidas, e as informações contidas nas cartas, em forma de avaliação, deram subsídios para a continuidade da 2ª Edição desta ação extensionista na Universidade.
During 2018, the State University of Alagoas -Uneal implemented the Third Age Extension Project at the University with 132 enrolled elderly people. The Elderly Statute, Law nº 10.741 / 2003 defines that educational actions comprise one of the rights of the elderly, and the LDB, Law nº 9394/96, in its art. 37 guarantees lifelong education. Thus, the elderly person can and should continue to be included in educational and social actions, according to their reality. The research is part of an excerpt from the Pedagogy Course Conclusion Work and aims to analyze the letters that elderly people, enrolled in that project wrote, seeking to contemplate the feelings expressed, the evaluation and the importance of such an experience in their lives. Forthis, the study has as methodological procedure the bibliographic and documentary research of the letter instrument. Data analysis was performed using the content analysis technique of Bardin (2011). Authors such as Bakhtin (1997), Marcuschi (2008) and Silva (2002), among others, served as a basis for understanding the textual genre and, in particular, the personal letter. Cachioni (1998), among other references,contributed to the study of successful aging. This research revealed the importance of the Third Age Extension Project at the University in promoting the physical and psychosocial well-being of the elderly people involved, and the information contained inthe letters, in the form of an evaluation, provided subsidies for the continuity of the 2nd Edition of this extension action at the University.
