Nos poemas de Contemplação de Ouro Preto, de Murilo Mendes, a imaginação participa da interação entre o mundo mÃstico e o mundo imanente. Na descrição das imagens de santos e anjos, distribuÃdas pelo espaço da cidade de Ouro Preto, e em diálogo com a história e o imaginário religioso do lugar, a poesia de Murilo Mendes transcende a materialidade do cenário, elevando-a a uma dimensão ultrassensÃvel. Neste estudo, refletimos sobre como Murilo Mendes desenvolve o processo criativo de imagens e sobre como a imaginação participa no processo de promoção da mÃstica ouropretana ao plano artÃstico.
In the poems of Contemplação de Ouro Preto, by Murilo Mendes, the imagination participates of the interaction between the mystical world and the immanent world. In the description of images of saints and angels, distributed in space of Ouro Preto’s city, and in dialogue with the history and religious imagery of the place, Murilo Mendes’s poetry transcends the materiality of the scene, raising it to a dimension ultrasensitive. In this study, we reflect about how Murilo Mendes develops the creative process of images and how imagination participates in the promotion of the mystical of Ouro Preto as the artistic plane.
