Este ensaio pretende analisar o processo criativo e a função conativa nas canções de Noel Rosa (1910-1937). Em primeiro lugar, estudarei como ele se utilizou do cotidiano e dos personagens do bairro em que nasceu e viveu no Rio de Janeiro, a Vila Isabel, para compor suas canções. O trabalho também tem como objetivo verificar como ele se relacionava com o seu interlocutor e com que objetivos. Para isso, utiliza-se da teoria de Roman Jakobson e faz uma breve comparação com Machado de Assis.
This essay is intended to analyze the creative process and the conative function found within the songs written by Noel Rosa (1910-1937). First of all, it will focus on the way he brought to his songs the everyday life and characters from the neighbourhood in which he was born and grew up in Rio de Janeiro, called Vila Isabel. The work also aims to verify how he interacted with his interlocutor and what intentions he had in doing so. For this analysis, the essay takes on Roman Jakobson's theory and draws a brief comparision with Machado de Assis.
