O presente artigo tem o objetivo de apontar os impactos causados devido à ausência de um hospital regional no Noroeste de Minas. Analisando brevemente a mesorregião Noroeste e seus 19 (dezenove) municípios, trazendo dados a respeito da grande demanda na área da saúde pública. Posteriormente discutiu-se a relação entre o Direito e o sistema público de saúde. Concluindo que a implementação de um hospital regional no Noroeste Mineiro traria melhorias a população, evitando grandes deslocamentos em busca de tratamentos específicos, e também a superlotação em hospitais municipais.
This article aims to point out the results due to the absence of a regional hospital in the Northwest of Minas Gerais. Briefly analyzing the Northwest mesoregion and its 19 (nineteen) municipalities, bringing data on the great demand in the area of public health. Subsequently, a relationship between law and the public health system was discussed. Concluding that the implementation of a regional hospital in the Northwest Mineiro would bring life, avoiding large displacements in search of specific treatment, and also an overcrowding in municipal hospitals.
