A pesquisa tem como objetivo compreender os níveis de concordância/discordância dos editores acerca dos critérios de admissão e/ou permanência na Coleção SciELO Brasil. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como descritiva, em relação aos seus objetivos e levantamento frente aos procedimentos técnicos adotados e de natureza qualitativa e quantitativa. Recorreu-se ao questionário com 66 editores de periódicos das universidades federais do Nordeste brasileiro que têm portal de periódicos. No que se refere aos níveis de concordância/discordância dos editores acerca dos critérios de admissão e/ou permanência na Coleção SciELO Brasil, os resultados evidenciaram que a maioria dos critérios alcançaram Ranking Médio que alterna entre 3,3 - Concordância – e acima de 3,5 - Alta concordância. Entretanto, os critérios de registro de ensaios clínicos; registro de material biológico de referência e de sequência de DNA; erratas e retratações; citações recebidas em índices alcançaram Ranking Médio de indiferença. Conclui-se que embora os editores investigados reconheçam a relevância da indexação dos periódicos, a limitação de infraestrutura e de recursos financeiros e humanos constitui-se como o principal obstáculo para que os periódicos das instituições em que atuam como editores alcancem qualidade para admissão e permanência na Coleção SciELO Brasil.
This research aims to comprehend the levels of agreement/disagreement of the editors concerning the criterias of admission and/or permanence in the SciELO Brazil Collection. This research is characterized as descriptive, in relation to its goals and to its data collection regarding the technical procedures adopted and to its qualitative and quantitative nature. We resorted to a survey form with 66 journal editors of federal universities from Brazilian Northeast who have journal portals. Concerning the levels of editors’ agreement/disagreement about the criteria of admission and/or permanence in SciELO Brazil Collection, the result showed that the majority of criterias reached the Medium Raking, which alternate between 3.3 - Agreement - and above 3.5 - High agreement. However, the criteria of clinical trial register; biological material of reference register and the DNA sequel; errata and retractions; and citation received by index reached out the Medium Raking of indifference; disagreement; disagreement; and indifference, respectively. It is possible to conclude that although the investigated editors recognize the relevance of journal indexing, the infrastructure and human resources limitation represent the main obstacles for the journals of the institutions in which they work as editors, to achieve a satisfactory quality for admission and permanence in SciELO Brazil Collection.
