A ecologia integral assumiu enorme relevância na reflexão teológica e pastoral, nos últimos tempos, de modo especial, após a Encíclica Laudato Si’ (2015) do Papa Francisco. Ela tem sido abordada sob variadas perspectivas, partindo da convicção de que “tudo está interligado”. Este artigo pensa a ecologia integral à luz do profetismo bíblico, pelo viés do tema da justiça, em sua conexão com a misericórdia, o direito e a fidelidade, bem como, o shalom, interação de todos os componentes da realidade humana. A ecologia integral revela-se, pois, como humanidade integral e sua face de fraternidade, de respeito pela dignidade humana e de cuidado com os irmãos e as irmãs.
The debate on Integral ecology has recently gained enormous relevance in theological and pastoral reflections, especially after Pope Francis' Encyclical Laudato Si' (2015). It has been approached from various perspectives, based on the conviction that "everything is interconnected". This article discusses integral ecology in the light of biblical prophecy, through the lens of justice, in connection with mercy, right and fidelity, as well as with shalom; the interaction of all the components of human reality. Integral ecology is thus revealed as integral humanity and its aspects of fraternity, respect for human dignity, and care for our brothers and sisters.
