O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar algumas considerações a respeito do processo de escolarização da literatura; processo esse que por vezes é questionado e que destoa, em vários momentos, dos objetivos que espera alcançar. O que propomos aqui é refletir sobre a importância do ensino de literatura para a formação de leitores literários, principalmente no ensino médio, pois será para muitos estudantes o último contato sistemático com tal disciplina. Nosso interesse em investigar o referido assunto se justifica pela tentativa de contribuir com os debates a respeito do uso de textos literários e dos livros didáticos de Português no ensino de literatura, práticas estas norteadas por relações muito complexas, que carecem de estudos, reflexões e discussões.
The present work has as objective to present some considerations regarding the process of schooling of the literature; process that that is sometimes questioned and that it sounds out of tune, in several moments, of the objectives that it hopes to reach. What we propose here is to contemplate the importance of the literature teaching for the literary readers' formation, mainly in the high school level, because it will be for many students the last systematic contact with such a discipline. Our interest in investigating the referred subject is justified for the attempt of contributing with the debates regarding the use of literary texts and Portuguese's textbooks in the literature teaching, practices these orientated by very complex relationships, that lack of studies, reflections and discussions.
