Esta pesquisa bibliográfica pretende analisar e discutir as organizações e relações entre escola e família e tem como tema de análise as inter-relações que se formam entre essas duas instituições em contexto brasileiro contemporâneo. Para isto, apresenta-se o conceito de família e suas transformações ao longo dos anos acerca da formação da conduta do sujeito, seguido de um panorama do surgimento da noção de infância e com isto, do nascimento da instituição escola, responsável pelo ensino dos conhecimentos científicos acumulados pela humanidade. É possível comprovar que esta relação sofreu profundas modificações. Diante da bibliografia analisada, incluindo um estudo sobre as políticas públicas em educação no Brasil desde a colônia, fica claro que a legislação brasileira é um ponto chave na formulação da relação escola-família. A escola tem papel importante no estreitamento dos laços, porém não deve assumir toda a responsabilidade pela educação sozinha, uma vez que a família é uma instituição tão importante quanto a escola, se não mais importante ainda – por ser a primeira – na condução da formação do ser.
This research is part of the discussions about school and family organizations and has as its theme the interrelationships that form between these two institutions in a contemporary Brazilian context. For this, the concept of family and its transformations over the years about the formation of the subject's behavior is presented, followed by an overview of the emergence of the notion of childhood and with this, the birth of the school institution, responsible for teaching knowledge scientists accumulated by mankind. It is possible to prove that this relationship underwent profound changes. In view of the bibliography analyzed, including a study of public policies in education in Brazil since the colony, it is clear that Brazilian legislation is a key point in the formulation of the school-family relationship. The school plays an important role in strengthening the bonds, but it should not take full responsibility for education alone, since the family is as important an institution as school, if not more important - for being the first one - in the conduct of training of being.
