O objetivo deste estudo foi buscar evidências de validade para o Teste de Atenção Alternada (TEALT) pela relação com os Tes-
tes de Atenção Dividida (AD) e Sustentada (AS). Participaram da pesquisa 133 estudantes universitários de uma instituição
particular do estado de Sergipe, de ambos os sexos, com média de 24,83 anos. Os instrumentos foram aplicados coletivamen-
te e em sala de aula. Os resultados indicaram correlações positivas, em sua maioria, baixas e moderadas, entre o TEALT e o
AD e AS. Isso demonstrou que ao aumento no desempenho no TEALT lhe correspondeu um aumento no desempenho nos
demais testes. Assim, a evidência de validade para o TEALT pela correlação com o AD e AS foi verificada.
The objective of this study was to search for evidences of validity for the Test of Alternating Attention (TEALT) by the rela-
tion with the Test of Divided Attention (AD) and Sustained Attention (AS). 133 college students of a private institution of
the state of Sergipe, both sexes, and with mean of 24,83 years, took part of the research. The instruments were administered
collectively and in the classroom. The results indicated positive correlations, mostly low and moderate TEALT and between
AD and AS. This demonstrated that an increase in performance in TEALT corresponded to an increase in performance on
other tests. Thus, the validity evidence for the TEALT by correlation with the AD and AS was observed.
