O presente artigo sintetiza as lacunas existentes no Brasil que permitem que o tráfico de animais silvestres seja realizado de maneira exacerbada e pouco percebido dada a extensão do território brasileiro. A biopirataria é dificilmente regulada devido a facilidade da saída ilegal do país, fazendo com que nossa fauna seja com o decorrer dos anos usurpada pelos mercadores de animais silvestres. Traz ainda, dados quantitativos e mapas, de maneira a quantificar a fragilidade de nosso sistema de proteção aos animais pertencentes à fauna do país, concluindo que somente por meio de uma fiscalização ética e rigorosa juntamente com a correta da lei, poderá ser preservada a biodiversidade brasileira.
The present article sinthesizes the existing gaps in Brazil that allows trafficking of wild animals to be accomplished in an exacerbated and unnoticed way due the extention of the brazilian territory. the biopiracy is hardly regulated because of the facility of illegal exit of the country, causing the usurpation of the brazilian fauna by animal’s merchants throughout the years. the article brings quantitative data and maps, in a way to quantify the fragility of our animal protection system, concluding that only with ethical and rigorous surpevision, added by the correct legal application, the brazilian biodiversity could be preserved.
