Há um crescente interesse da sociedade em diminuir o impacto ambiental causado pela geração dos diferentes tipos de resíduos. Diante disto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi o estabelecimento de um programa que visou a destinação adequada para os resíduos químicos e biológicos gerados nos laboratórios do Instituto Filadélfia de Londrina. Foram instituídos procedimentos de tratamento, reaproveitamento, reciclagem e descarte seguro desses resíduos, concomitantemente com trabalhos de conscientização ambiental, no escopo da formação de agentes multiplicadores da hierarquia de resíduos.
There is a growing interest in society in reducing the environmental impact caused by the generation of different types of waste. In view of this, the objective of this work was to establish a program that aimed at the appropriate disposal of chemical and biological waste generated in the laboratories of the Philadelphia Institute of Londrina. Procedures for the treatment, reuse, recycling and safe disposal of this waste were established, in conjunction with environmental awareness work, within the scope of training multiplier agents of the waste hierarchy.
