Este artigo tem como objetivo compartilhar o mundo vivido dos seringueiros. Apreender o seu mundo vivido como um lugar de identidade e construto social para a sobrevivência, onde as experiências vividas no cotidiano deram base para o processo de resiliência. Era preciso ser aguerrido para lutar contra os obstáculos, a pobreza e o medo dentro da selva, e hoje, enfrentar os desafios de viver na cidade. No levantamento histórico sobre os seringueiros em Extrema/RO, lugar de desenvolvimento desta pesquisa, descobre-se, nos depoimentos, um verdadeiro sofrimento vivido pelos seringueiros. Foram abandonados à sorte diversos momentos e ciclos econômicos. Primeiro, quando houve o declínio na exportação da borracha da Amazônia, em virtude da produção no oriente médio e, depois, com os projetos de colonização, que visavam uma nova forma de pensar o espaço. De tal modo, a vida foi se estabelecendo nos seringais. Assim, utilizou-se o método fenomenológico como baluarte para compreender o modo de sentir, viver e agir do seringueiro no meio ambiente.
The aim of this article is to share the world of the rubber tree workers. To learn about his world as a place of identity and social construction for the survival, where the life experiences gave support for the resilience process. It was necessary to be strong to fight against the obstacles, the poverty and the fear into the jungle, and nowadays, to face the challenges in order to live in the city. In the historical survey about these workers in the city of Extrema – RO, place where this research had been developed, we found out that these people suffered a lot. They were deserted in several moments and economical cycles. The first one happened when the latex exportation from Amazonia decreased because of its production in Middle East, and after this moment, with the colonization projects which aimed a new way of thinking about the space. So, the life had been established where these trees were cultivated. In this way, the phenomenological method was used as base to understand the way of feeling, living and acting of this worker in his environment
