Este artigo tem como propósito descrever o processo de do acervo documental e bibliográfico do Museu da Companhia Paulista, que apresenta uma ampla variedade de materiais. A pesquisa que fundamenta este estudo é de natureza exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa, além do uso das metodologias da história oral. Por meio desta análise, torna-se possível observar as relações estabelecidas entre a criação do acervo e as instituições responsáveis por sua origem, permitindo reflexões acerca da gestão do patrimônio durante o processo de desestatização. O objetivo principal deste estudo é compreender as políticas públicas envolvidas na formação do acervo.
This article aims to describe the process of creating the documentary and bibliographic collection of the Museu da Companhia Paulista, which presents a wide variety of materials. The research underlying this study is exploratory and descriptive in nature, with a quantitative and qualitative approach, in addition to the use of oral history methodologies. Through this analysis, it becomes possible to observe the relationships established between the creation of the collection and the institutions responsible for its origin, allowing reflections on heritage management during the privatization process. The main objective of this study is to understand the public policies involved in the formation of the collection.
