Esse texto discute as relações do Museu da Imigração do Estado de São Paulo com comunidades de imigrantes e de descendentes, pelo viés da busca pelos direitos à representação cultural e à cidadania plena. A partir da análise de sua trajetória institucional, serão apresentados e problematizados momentos importantes para a constituição desse vÃnculo, considerando a formação do acervo e a programação cultural e expositiva do Museu.
This text discusses the relations between the Immigration Museum of Sao Paulo and the communities of migrants and his descendants from the point of view of the search for the rights to cultural representations and for plenty citizenship. From the analyses of its institutional trajectory, important moments of the establishment of this bound will be presented, considering the formation of the collection and the cultural programs, so as the exhibitions of the Museum.
