Classificação Diagnóstica do Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA) de acordo com o Manual Diagnóstico e Estatístico dos Transtornos Mentais (DSM), em sua quinta edição abrange um conjunto de patologias com características comuns que outrora eram identificadas separadamente. O tratamento do TEA considera fatores como diferenças de idade, grau de comprometimento, comorbidades, situação familiar e social e saúde. As abordagens utilizadas devem contemplar as particularidades de cada caso, portanto, ocorre a inexistência de uma abordagem exclusiva no tratamento. No aspecto social das intervenções, as ações possuem uma perspectiva objetiva pautada no comportamento e outra subjetiva, que considera os processos afetivos e cognitivos subjacentes. A música em musicoterapia rompe barreiras que dificultam a comunicação e expressão de sentimentos do indivíduo com TEA, podendo proporcionar a reintegração dessas pessoas por meio do possível desenvolvimento de habilidades sociais. A partir desse conhecimento clínico e científico, o presente estudo de revisão, tem como objetivo abordar estudos sobre o TEA, interação social e habilidades sociais, associando-as à musicoterapia, como uma forma de tratamento a indivíduos com esse diagnóstico. Este artigo é parte de um projeto de pesquisa cadastrado no Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal de Goiás (UFG). Assim, espera-se trazer contribuições efetivas, em publicações futuras, sobre o tema abordado.
The Diagnostic Classification of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM), in its fifth edition, covers a set of pathologies with common characteristics that were once identified separately. The treatment of ASD considers factors such as differences in age, degree of impairment, comorbidities, family and social status and health. The approaches used should take into account the particularities of each case, so there is no exclusive approach to treatment. In the social aspect of the interventions, the actions have an objective perspective based on behavior and a subjective perspective, which considers the affective and cognitive processes underlying. Music in music therapy breaks down barriers that hinder the communication and expression of feelings of the individual with ASD, and can provide the reintegration of these people through the possible development of social skills. Based on this clinical and scientific knowledge, the present review study aims to study studies on ASD, social interaction and social skills, associating them with music therapy as a form of treatment for individuals with this diagnosis. This article is part of a research project registered in the Research Ethics Committee 1 at the institution of origin of the study.
