Historicamente, pessoas brancas não apenas ocuparam lugares de privilégios, mas também moldaram as esferas de poder de maneira a influenciar a população brasileira, induzindo-a a assimilar suas falas e adotar seu discurso. Esse processo de manipulação da identidade nacional levou muitos brasileiros a almejarem o branqueamento e a negar suas raízes africanas e afro-brasileiras, promovendo, assim, a invisibilização da herança cultural negra. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as trajetórias e os obstáculos enfrentados pelas mulheres acreanas na construção de sua identidade negra. A metodologia adotada foi qualitativa, com a realização de uma pesquisa bibliográfica seguida de entrevistas, utilizando a abordagem da história oral. Para fundamentar esta análise, foram utilizadas as contribuições de Munanga (2019), Souza (2021) e Gomes (1995), que abordam a temática da negritude e a valorização dos traços fenotípicos na construção da identidade de pessoas negras no contexto acreano. Como resultado, observou-se a importância dos processos de transição capilar na trajetória de construção da identidade negra, além do impacto dos atos e falas racistas na percepção de si mesmas. Esses fatores desempenham um papel crucial na formação daidentidade dessas mulheres. Ademais, constatou-se a relevância das ações afirmativas e do acesso ao conhecimento como ferramentas fundamentais para a desconstrução de paradigmas e a superação das amarras impostas pelo racismo.
Historically, white people not only occupied positions of privilege but also shaped the spheres of power in such a way as to influence the Brazilian population, leading them to assimilate their languageand adopt their discourse. This process of manipulating national identity led many Brazilians to aspire to whitening and deny their African and Afro-Brazilian roots, thus promoting the invisibilization of the Black cultural heritage. The objective of thisstudy is to analyze the trajectories and obstacles faced by women from Acre in the construction of their Black identity. The methodology adopted was qualitative, consisting of a bibliographic review followed by interviews using the oral history approach. To support this analysis, the contributions of Munanga (2019), Souza (2021), and Gomes (1995) were used, which address the theme of Black identity and the valorization of phenotypic traits in the construction of the identity of Black people in the Acrean context. As a result, the importance of hair transition processes in the construction of Black identity was observed, as well as the impact of racist acts and remarks on the self-perception of these women. These factors play a crucial role in shaping their identities. Furthermore, the relevance of affirmative actions and access to knowledge was found to be essential tools in dismantling paradigms and overcoming the constraints imposed by racism.
