Este artigo trata sobre a noção de liberdade em Søren Kierkegaard, conforme a interpretação de Cornélio Fabro. In primis, faz-se uma apresentação de eventos biográficos e filosóficos do pensador dinamarquês de modo a evidenciar como esses foram determinantes em sua elaboração teórica. Em seguida, faz-se uma exposição de sua crítica à modernidade sobre a dissolução da liberdade através do vazio ético e da falta de fundamentação. Por fim, repropõe-se a concepção kierkegaardiana da liberdade como escolha do ‘eu’ diante do Absoluto.
This paper deals with the notion of freedom in Søren Kierkegaard, as interpreted by Cornelius Fabro. In primis, the biographical and philosophical events of the Danish thinker are presented in order to show how they were decisive in their theoretical elaboration. Next, an exposition of his critique of modernity on the dissolution of freedom through the ethical vacuum and lack of reasoning is made. Finally, the Kierkegaardian conception of freedom is represented as the choice of the 'I' before the Absolute.
