Apresenta-se o texto Über den affirmativen Charakter der Kultur (Sobre o caráter afirmativo da cultura), de 1937, tomando como chave de leitura a perspectiva da promessa de felicidade de um ponto de vista concreto. Identifica-se a negatividade da promessa de felicidade com relação à realidade como elemento ideológico da cultura. Essa relação pode incitar o movimento revolucionário que, inclusive, pode ser direcionado à própria arte.
I present the text Über den affirmativen Charakter der Kultur (About the Affirmative Nature of Culture), 1937, taking as reading key the perspective of the promise of happiness from a concrete point of view. I identify the negativity of the promise of happiness in relation to reality as an ideological element of culture. This relationship can incite the revolutionary movement, which can even be directed to the art itself.
