O presente estudo aborda questões essenciais inerentes ao Tribunal do Júri e à influência da mídia nas decisões do Conselho de Sentença, composto pelos jurados. Para tanto, foi realizada uma revisão na literatura, por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema. Partindo do pressuposto que há a influência da mídia sobre os jurados, examina-se como esse fenômeno, analisado pela criminologia midiática, afeta a tomada de decisões e os princípios da presunção de inocência e da imparcialidade.
The present study addresses essential issues inherent to the Jury Court and the influence of the media on the decisions of the Sentencing Council, made up of jurors. To this end, a literature review was carried out through bibliographical research on the topic. Based on the assumption that there is media influence on jurors, we examine how this phenomenon, analyzed by media criminology, affects decision-making and the principles of presumption of innocence and impartiality.
