Resumo Português:
O presente artigo baseia-se no estudo do livro Historia Universal de las Joyas, a travès del Arte y la Cultura, de Margarita Wagner de Kertesz, publicado pela Editora Centurión, Calle Belgrano 3770, Buenos Aires - Republica Argentina, em 1947, cuja edição esgotou-se em 1947. Neste estudo, realiza-se a tradução da cultura pré-histórica e a atualização de informações sob a ótica da ourivesaria contemporânea. Num primeiro momento, aborda-se os adornos na época Paleolítica em suas diversas técnicas e estilos e, posteriormente, na época Neolítica, sua história e ornamentação corporal.

This paper presents a study based on the book: Historia Universal de las Joyas, a través del A rte y la Cultura, authored by Margarita Wagner de Kertesz, published by Centurion, 3770 Calle Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Republica Argentina, 1947 whose edition was exhausted in 1947. In this study, we carried out the translation of the pre-historic culture and update information from the perspective of contemporary jewelry. At fi rst, we discuss, the adornments on the Paleolithic era in its various styles and techniques and, subsequently, the Neolithic, its history and body ornamentation.
