Este trabalho trata da Oração Fúnebre de Péricles, em que é feito um elogio a Atenas e aos
atenienses, em contraposição ao relato da peste e os efeitos desta sobre as relações entre os
indivÃduos e a estrutura da pólis, ambos no livro II da Guerra do Peloponeso de TucÃdides.
This paper discusses Pericles’ Funeral Oration, in which there is an eulogy of Athens and the
Athenians, in opposition to the narration of the plague and its effects on the inter-individual
relationships and the structure of the polis, both in the book II of Thucydides’ Peloponesian
War.
