O retorno de emigrantes internacionais é algo complexo e, por esse motivo, diferentes estudiosos vêm se dedicando ao tema. Apesar disso, as pesquisas a respeito dos retornados brasileiros que viviam em Portugal ainda são escassas. Nesse sentido, o objetivo principal deste trabalho é descrever o perfil e as características do processo migratório dos imigrantes brasileiros retornados de Portugal que se estabeleceram no estado de Rondônia. Para atingir esse objetivo, foram usados dados disponibilizados pelo IBGE, através dos resultados do Censo 2010, que possibilitaram identificar quais são os estados e municípios com maior concentração de emigrantes em relação à população residente, identificando os países de destino. Após selecionar os municípios a serem visitados, desenvolveu-se um protocolo de entrevista estruturada com perguntas que buscavam traçar o perfil dos imigrantes retornados de Portugal. Essas entrevistas foram realizadas em Rondônia em quatro municípios diferentes, nos quais 57 pessoas foram entrevistadas no mês de julho de 2012. A análise dos resultados permitiu confirmar hipóteses apresentadas por diferentes autores da questão migratória sobre a autorregulação dos movimentos migratórios e a importância das redes migratórias
The return of international emigrants is something complicated, and that's why different masters have been taking to this theme with enthusiasm. Nevertheless, the researches about Brazilian people who used to live in Portugal are still scanty. So, the main point of this article is to describe the profile and characters of migratory process of Brazilian immigrants who had come back from Portugal and had settled in Rondônia. In order to reach this objective, it was used data from IBGE, throughout the results of 2010 Census, which made possible the identification of which states and cities have the biggest concentration of emigrants towards resident population, identifying the countries of destination. After choosing the cities which would be interviewed, it was developed a procedure of structured interview with questions which tried to identify the profile of immigrants who came back from Portugal. These interviews were performed in Rondônia State in four different cities, whereon 57 people were interviewed in July, 2012. The analysis of the results let us confirm hypothesis from different authors about the self regulation of migratory movements and the importance of migratory nets.
