Este artigo tem duplo objetivo: 1) prestar uma homenagem a Eni Orlandi pela comemoração dos trinta anos do lançamento do livro “As formas do silêncio”; e 2) refletir, a partir da categoria silêncio, sobre o entrelaçamento do discurso político e econômico na sociedade capitalista em crise estrutural. O percurso do presente estudo foi, de início, retomar as categorias silêncio fundante e política do silêncio, para, em seguida, analisar as entrevistas, realizadas no Jornal Nacional, da TV Globo, dos dois candidatos mais cotados no primeiro turno das pesquisas para a presidência do Brasil em 2022: Lula e Bolsonaro. Como resultado, foi possível compreender nessas entrevistas o funcionamento da política do silêncio (silenciamento) sobre a crise estrutural do capital e seus efeitos de reprodução/transformação sobre o real sócio-histórico da formação social brasileira.
This article has a double objective: 1) to pay homage to Eni Orlandi for the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of her book release “As Formas do Silence” (“The Shapes of Silence”, in a free translation); and 2) reflect, considering the category of silence, on the intertwining of political and economic discourse in capitalist society in structural crisis. The course of the present study was, firstly, to resume the categories of founding silence and politics of silence so that we analyze the interviews, broadcast on Jornal Nacional, from Globo TV channel, of the two most cited candidates in the first round of the election for the presidency of Brazil in 2022: Lula and Bolsonaro. As a result, it was possible to understand from these interviews the functioning of the policy of silence (silencing) on the structural crisis of the capital, producing effects of reproduction/transformation on the socio-historical reality of the Brazilian social formation.
