Este artigo destina-se a analisar as
tensões entre ficcionalidade e
historicidade na narrativa de Valêncio
Xavier, em sua novela O mez da grippe,
de 1981, em que o autor utiliza-se de
diferentes recursos para compor seu
texto, criando uma história a partir de
diferentes vozes, com um estilo que o
situa junto às correntes pós-modernas
da literatura e que, ainda, permite
discutir as relações existentes entre
narrativa ficcional e narrativa histórica.
The aim of the article is to analyse the
tension between fictionalicity and
historicity in the Valêncio Xavier
narrative, specifically in its novel O mez
da grippe, from 1981, in which the
author makes use of various kind of
resources to write the text, bringing
up a history that comes from different
voices. The text has such a style that
puts him together with the literature
postmodernism movement an it still
permits to discuss about the existent
relation between fictional narrative and
historical narrative.
