O objetivo desse trabalho é propor um debate reflexivo sobre como construir histórias de comunidades quilombolas através da valorização e da apropriação das narrativas contadas pelos membros do quilombo, enfatizando as memórias e tradições orais, assim como seu legado histórico, fazendo uma analogia entre o seu passado escravista, a história sobre seus antepassados e o tempo presente da comunidade, tendo em vista as contribuições estabelecidas na construção da identidade de seus moradores. O objeto desse estudo é a comunidade quilombola Sambaquim, localizada no município de Cupira - PE, e como construímos sua história através da valorização e da apropriação das narrativas contadas pelos membros da comunidade, enfatizando as memórias e tradições orais, assim como seu legado histórico, e o tempo presente da comunidade. A vivência do cotidiano é uma das fontes mais ricas para a construção de um estudo sobre a memória de um povo e das suas relações sociais com o meio em que vivem e as sociedades urbanas contemporâneas.
The objective of this work is to propose a reflective debate on how to build stories of quilombola communities through the valorization and appropriation of the narratives told by quilombo members, emphasizing oral memories and traditions, as well as their historical legacy, making an analogy between the its slave past, the history of its ancestors and the present time of the community, considering the contributions established in the construction of the identity of its residents. The object of this study is the Sambaquim quilombola community, located in the municipality of Cupira - PE, and how we built its history by valuing and appropriating the narratives told by community members, emphasizing oral memories and traditions, as well as their historical legacy, and the present time of the community. The experience of everyday life is one of the richest sources for the construction of a study on the memory of a people and their social relations with the environment in which they live and contemporary urban societies
