O propósito deste trabalho é verificar se houve e como se deu uma possÃvel presença
intertextual da figura mÃtico-histórica de Joana d´Arc na literatura e no teatro brasileiro.
Para tanto, o diálogo intercultural é eleito como meio ou referencial para a compreensão
desse movimento de ressignificar a figura Ãmpar de Joana d’Arc na cena teatral
brasileira. Deste modo, concluÃmos que as marcas deixadas pela figura de Joana d’Arc
no teatro nacional não foram acidentais, elas representam simbolicamente uma leitura
dos processos repressivos ocorridos no Brasil e da situação da mulher que permanece
sendo cerceada de seus direitos e que luta incansavelmente rumo à superação das
adversidades e opressões no âmbito familiar, social, polÃtico e econômico.
The purpose of this work is to check whether there was and how it gave a possible
intertextual presence of the mythical-historical figure of Joan of Arc in literature and
drama of Brazilian theater. Thus, the intercultural dialogue is chosen as a means or
framework for understanding this movement to reframe the unique figure of Joan of Arc in Brazilian theater scene. Thus, we conclude that the marks left by the figure of Joan of
Arc at the National Theatre were not accidental, they symbolically represent a reading
of repressive processes occurring in Brazil and the situation of woman who remains
curtailed their rights and fighting tirelessly towards the overcoming of adversity and
oppression in family, social, political and economic context.
