Tendo em vista o valor literário e artÃstico expresso na obra ficcional de Darcy Ribeiro, propomos resgatar o Darcy Ribeiro romancista. Nessa perspectiva, o presente trabalho busca apresentar a recepção crÃtica do antropólogo-romancista a partir das décadas de 70, 80 e 90, fazendo um percurso até a atualidade. No que se refere ao pensamento sobre a América Latina, aponta Haydée Ribeiro Coelho (2000) que Darcy Ribeiro é um dos maiores expoentes da intelectualidade do século XX. Nessa conjectura, propomos uma análise da criação artÃsticoliterária em MaÃra,com a intenção de apresentarmos o universo ficcional darcyniano e, do mesmo modo, estabelecer relações do referido romance com as mudanças que atingiam a sociedade brasileira no perÃodo de sua publicação. Dessa maneira, é imprescindÃvel retomar as ideias abordadas pelo escritor mineiro, expostas em seu romance, com a intenção de estabelecer uma possÃvel concatenação de seu pensamento com a crÃtica literária
contemporânea.
In view of the literary and artistic value expressed in the fictional work of Darcy Ribeiro, we propose to rescue Darcy Ribeiro as a novelist. From this perspective, this work aims to present the critical reception of the anthropologist-novelist from the 70s, 80s and 90s to the present. With regard to Latin America, Haydée Ribeiro Coelho (2000) states that Darcy Ribeiro is one of the greatest intellectuals of the twentieth century. In this conjecture, we propose an analysis of artistic and literary creation in MaÃra, with the intention of presenting the darcynian fictional universe and likewise establish this novel’s relations with the changes that affected the
Brazilian society in the period of its publication. Thus, it is essential to resume the ideas addressed by the writer of Minas Gerais exposed in his novel with the intention of establishing a possible concatenation of his thought with the contemporary literary review.
