Este trabalho faz uma reflexão sobre a necessidade de mudanças na gestão urbana,
tendo em vista, atual crise sócio-ambiental vivenciada nas cidades, notadamente, nas
de paÃses pobres. Portanto, o objetivo deste trabalho é mostrar que a gestão urbana
sustentável perpassa por uma reformulação das polÃticas públicas vigentes,
agregando a elas novos modelos de pensar a cidade, nas quais a cidade é pensada
por uma sociedade e para atender essa sociedade. Sendo assim, a tomada de
decisão deixa de ter um poder de troca de favores e passa a atender a sociedade de
maneira, sócio-ambientalmente, responsável.
This work makes a reflection about the need of changes in the urban administration,
tends in view, current partner-environmental crisis lived in the cities, especially, in the
one of poor countries. Therefore, the objective of this work is to show that the
administration maintainable urban raisin for a transformation of the effective public
politics, joining to them new models of thinking the city, in which the city is thought by
a society and to assist that society. Being like this, the electric outlet of decision stops
having a power of change of favors and he/she starts to assist the way society,
partner- environmental, responsible.
