A partir da perspectiva de Michel Foucault, a tecnologia, ao mesmo tempo em que suscita a proliferação dos discursos, multiplica os mecanismos de dominação, pela distribuição regulada e controlada dos indivíduos, tal como pode ser percebido nas redes sociais digitais. Nesse sentido, a possível participação política efetuada via internet pode se apresentar tanto como um lugar de manifestação individual de contestação, quanto a reprodução das estratégias de poder vigentes. Trata-se de investigar, portanto, a subjetivação em relação a linguagem do mundo virtual e seus impactos não apenas na comunicação, mas na própria sociedade.
From Michel Foucault’s perspective, the technology raises the proliferation of speeches at the same time that it also multiplies the mechanisms of domination by the regulated and controlled distribution of individuals as it can be seen in the social Medias. Therefore, the possible political participation made through the internet may be presented either as a place of individual manifestation of defense or as a reproduction of the strategies from the existing power. This is about investigating then the subjectivity regarding the language of the virtual world and its impact not only on the communication but also on the society itself
