Este trabalho procura mostrar como a mulher mastectomizada negocia a representação e a apresentação de seu corpo nos espaços público e privado após o diagnóstico do câncer, observando os aspectos relacionais envolvidos neste processo. Serão abordados especificamente os aspectos relacionados à mastectomia e ao tratamento de quimioterapia, que torna a doença visível através da queda do cabelo. O objetivo é mostrar como se dão certas relações, estratégias e disputas em torno do corpo mutilado e como esse corpo passa a ser significado a partir da experiência da doença.
This work searches to show the way in which the mastectomized woman negotiates the representation and the presentation of her body in public and private spaces after the diagnosis of cancer, observing the relational aspects involved in this process. It will be specifically approached here the aspects related to the mastectomy and to the chemotherapy treatment, that makes the disease visible through the hair fall. The objective is to show how certain relationships, strategies and disputes around the mutilated body happen and in which way that body begins to be meant starting from the experience of the disease.
