Meu objetivo é analisar sentenças com polissemia verbal no português brasileiro no que concerne aos seus comportamentos sintáticos. Veremos que o mecanismo sintático, com os nós funcionais, pode capturar comportamentos sintáticos que fazem surgir seus significados. A razão por que podemos afirmar que a configuração sintática é responsável por diferentes significados é em grande parte devido ao fato de que o verbo precisa estar, em geral, em um complexo com um complemento ou modificador na construção de um evento.
My aim is to analyze argument structure in Brazilian Portuguese concerning to their syntactic behavior. I will focus my work in sentences with light verbs polysemy and restrict their differences to the syntactic configurations that potentially can give rise to its meaning. The syntax mechanism, with functional nodes can capture some different syntactic behaviors that give rise to its meaning. The reason we can claim that the syntactic configuration is responsible for different semantics is in part because the verb must be in a complex with a complement or modifier in an Event construction.
