A alface (Lactuca sativa L.) está entre as hortaliças de grande importância na alimentação do brasileiro, sendo uma excelente fonte de vitaminas e sais minerais. Entretanto, seu cultivo é prejudicado devido às intempéries do clima, à presença de patógenos e ao ataque de pragas. Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar a reação de quatro variedades de alface à mosca minadora. A reação ao ataque do inseto foi verificada pela avaliação do percentual de plantas infestadas vinte dias após a semeadura. Os dados foram submetidos à ANOVA e submetidos ao teste de Duncan (P<0,05). Os resultados mostraram reação diferenciada entre as variedades de alface ao ataque da minadora, com a variedade Roxa apresentando alta resistência e variedade Americana demonstrando alta suscetibilidade à infestação de Liriomyza spp.
Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) is among the vegetables of great importance in Brazilian food, being an excellent source of vitamins and minerals. However, their cultivation is impaired due to the adverse weather conditions, the presence of pathogens and the pests attack. The objective of this work was to evaluate the reaction of four lettuce varieties to the leafminer. The insect attack reaction was verified by the evaluation of the percentage of infested plants twenty days after sowing. The data were submitted to ANOVA and submitted to the Duncan test (P<0.05). The results showed a differentiated reaction between the lettuce varieties to the attack of the leafmine, with the variety Roxa presenting high resistance and Americana variety demonstrating high susceptibility to the infestation of Liriomyza spp.
