Alunos do ensino médio poderão ser os futuros estudantes universitários, por isso, a aproximação entre ambas as instituições, universidade e escola, é fundamental. O objetivo do projeto foi dialogar com os estudantes do ensino médio de escolas de Itaqui/RS. O projeto teve três etapas: 1) Encontro com a direção de cada escola; 2) Elaboração do material didático; e 3) Encontro com os alunos do terceiro ano do ensino médio. Os encontros com a direção mostraram os diferentes interesses que existem em cada escola. Foi elaborado um pequeno manual intitulado “Do ensino médio ao ensino superior” que possuía informações gerais sobre a Unipampa e como acessar, a partir do ensino médio ao ensino superior, especialmente como funciona o exame nacional do ensino médio (ENEM) e o sistema de seleção unificado (SiSU), para ser distribuído aos alunos. Também foram elaboradas 2 questões sobre expectativas futuras dos alunos. Nos encontros, os temas descritos no manual eram abordados em forma de apresentação, conversando com os alunos e considerando a realidade de cada escola. Participaram das atividades 268 estudantes das três escolas, e, em todas elas, os estudantes vieram até à equipe esclarecer dúvidas relacionadas aos temas. Nas questões, os cursos mais frequentemente citados foram direito, engenharias e medicina. Por fim, espera-se que esse projeto influencie na reflexão sobre o futuro profissional dos estudantes e os motive para o ingresso no ensino superior.
High school students could be future college students, and that is why universities and schools should approach. The objective of this project was to dialogue with high school students from schools in Itaqui/RS. The project had three stages: 1) a meeting with the director of each school; 2) Prepare of didactic material; 3) Meeting with high school students. The meetings with directors of the schools showed different interests between schools. It was elaborated a little manual, entitled “From high school to higher education” with general information about the university, Unipampa, and described how to access higher education from high school, especially, how national high school exam and unified selection system works. In addition, we develop a questionnaire about the future expectations for the students. At the meetings with students, we explain all the themes previously covered by the manual, throughout talking with students. 268 students participated in the activities, at three schools. At all schools, the students participated and asked about subjects related to the project. The major interests of the students for higher education are law, engineering, and medicine. Finally, we expect the project could influence the student’s reflection about your future and motivate them to ingress at higher education.
