Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) consegue erigir em sua obra poética um mundo introspecto entre os silêncios e vazios, que, incrivelmente, comunicam e celebram os mistérios da vida. Aspectos pelos quais o eu-lírico instaura ecos universais para a (re)construção da humanidade, ante ao processo reificação. Afloradas tais questões, o objetivo desta investigação debruça-se na perspectiva do olhar à realidade pelas lentes da modernidade literária, regulada através dos efeitos estéticos e intersubjetivos da arrebatadora dicção poética de Emily Dickinson. De tal modo, o que parece avesso, distante, indesejável se transfigura em matéria poética, que carregam em si respostas edificantes ao que se deseja humano. Assim sendo, a poeta, por vezes, se afasta da realidade para melhor se aproximar e, sobretudo, entendê-la. Neste sentido, a leitura contextualizada de poemas representativos de Emily Dickinson, em constante diálogo com os aportes teóricos adotados, Paz (2009) Bosi (1977) Orlandi (2007), nortearam a metodologia desta investigação na busca o entendimento da representação do silêncio e suas possíveis implicações humanizantes, através de leituras contextuais.
Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) builds in her poetic work an introspective world among silences and voids, which unbelievably communicate and celebrate life ́s mysteries. These aspects establish universal echoes for the (re)construction of humanity, before the process of reification developed by the lirycal I self. Thus, the aim of this research is guide from looking at reality through the lens of literary modernity perspective ́s, regulated through the aesthetic and intersubjective effects of Emily Dickinson's sweeping poetic diction. In this way, what seems to be possible, distant, and undesirable is transfigured into poetic matter, which brings in itself edifying responses to human beings. Therefore, this poet sometimes moves away from reality to better approximate, above all, to understand it. In this sense, the contextualized reading of poems that represent Emily Dickinson ́s poetry, in constant dialogue with the theoretical contributions adopted, Paz (2009) Bosi (1977) Orlandi (2007), who guided this research methodology in the search for understanding silence ́s representation and its humanizing implications through contextual readings.
