O presente artigo busca apresentar reflexões a partir da relação entre turismo e novas
tecnologias. Busca-se evidenciar neste trabalho como a atividade turÃstica incorpora tais
tecnologias, na medida em que o turismo passa por rearranjos estruturais em sua forma de
organização. Para isso, opta-se por discutir como tais vÃnculos se articulam mediante um
estudo de caso. Estudar-se-á aqui o site Vai Brasil, projeto criado pelo MTur - Ministério do
Turismo, em parceria com a Associação Brasileira das Operadoras de Turismo - BRAZTOA e a
Associação Brasileira das Agências de Viagem - ABAV com o intuito de fomentar a
comercialização de pacotes turÃsticos em perÃodos de baixa ocupação nos diversos destinos
do Brasil. A escolha desse site se deu por se tratar de uma temática extremamente atual e
de relevância para o turismo, na medida em que ilustra o uso de novas tecnologias pelo
setor, além de se constituir uma representação de uma das tantas tendências
contemporâneas para o setor turÃstico.
TThe present article searchs to present reflections from the relation between tourism and new
technologies. One searchs to evidence in this work as the tourist activity incorporates such
technologies, in the measure where the tourism passes for structural rearrangements in its form
of organization. For this, it is opted to arguing as such bonds if they articulate by means of a
case study. One will study here the site Vai Brazil, project created by the MTur - Ministry of the
Tourism, in partnership with the Brazilian Association of the Operators of Tourism - BRAZTOA
and the Brazilian Association of the Travel agencies - ABAV with intention to foment the
commercialization of tourist packages in periods of low occupation in the diverse destinations
of Brazil. The choice of this site if gave for if dealing with to thematic an extremely current one
and relevance for the tourism, in the measure where it illustrates the use of new technologies
for the sector, beyond if constituting a representation of one of as many trends contemporaries
for the tourist sector.
