O presente trabalho tem como principal objetivo discutir a temática migração indÃgena para cidade bem como as repercussões causadas pela sua presença neste espaço, principalmente no contexto escolar urbano. Evidenciou que devido aos conflituosos processos de colonização, em especial na Amazônia, grande parte das populações indÃgenas foi dispersada ou dizimada no decorrer da história e, hoje, com a aproximação entre aldeia e cidade, a procura por trabalho, educação ou melhoria de vida em função dos movimentos indÃgenas e a procura pela escola urbana são motivos que levam Ãndios de diversas etnias a vir morar na área urbana. Outro fato presente também neste estudo é que nem sempre esta escola que o indÃgena vem buscar por acreditar ser de melhor qualidade, atende as suas expectativas, o que sugere possÃveis demandas para o aprofundamento da educação intercultural no processo escolar.
This paper aims to discuss the theme indigenous migration to the city and the impact caused by their presence in this space , especially in urban school context . Showed that due to conflicting processes of colonization , especially in the Amazon , most of the indigenous population was decimated or dispersed throughout history and today , with the rapprochement between village and city , the search for work, education or improvement of life in function of indigenous movements and the demand for urban school are reasons why Indians of various ethnic groups to come and live in the urban area . Another fact also present in this study is that not always this school that indigenous coming for believing be of better quality meets your expectations , suggesting possible demands for the further development of intercultural education in the school process.
