Neste artigo, propomo-nos a investigar os discursos midiáticos impressos sobre violência escolar na cidade de Belém-Pa, e a tessitura discursiva proposta em relação à figura dos alunos, sobretudo jovens; a partir do levantamento de vinte (20) peças jornalÃsticas do jornal impresso “O Liberalâ€, compreendidas no perÃodo de 2001-2010. A análise empreendida levou em consideração o arcabouço epistemológico da teoria dialógica bakhtiniana, sob as categorias de Significado e Sentido. Em virtude dessa análise e da presença dessa imagem midiática negativa atribuÃda à juventude, esperamos poder contribuir para a problematização desse cenário, já que a mÃdia hoje ocupa uma função social bastante legitimada socialmente influenciando não só a forma de pensar sobre determinados temas, como também as ações empreendidas na escola e no contexto maior da sociedade.
In this article, we propose to investigate the printed media discourse about school violence in the city of Belém-Pa, and the discursive contexture proposed in relation to the figure of students, especially young people; from a survey of twenty (20) journalistic pieces of the printed newspaper "O Liberal", included in the 2001-2010 period. The analysis has taken into consideration the epistemological framework of Bakhtin's dialogic theory, under the categories of Meaning and Sense. For this analysis, and the media image attributed to youth, we hope to contribute to the questioning of this scenario, since the media today occupies a very legitimate social function, socially influencing not only how to think about certain topics, as well as actions taken at school and in the larger context of society.
