O artigo examina as relações entre corpo e gênero, problematizando
a tese de que o corpo constitui uma base fixa sobre a qual se fundamenta o
gênero. A partir de um estudo bibliográfico, apresenta argumentos que evidenciam
o corpo e o sexo envolvidos em intensas práticas discursivas sobre o
“eu†e a ordem social; constituindo-se, portanto, também em instâncias dinâmicas
e mutáveis. O trabalho investiga ainda algumas construções contemporâneas
em torno do corpo, destacando questionamentos provocados pelo
crescimento das práticas de “reprodução assistidaâ€. Pretende, assim, colaborar
com o desenvolvimento de estudos do gênero no campo do serviço social,
estimulando análises que considerem os contextos sociais, históricos e culturais
que articulam as experiências marcadas por gênero, bem como a formulação
de polÃticas públicas nesta área.
Abstract: The article examines the relationships between gender and body;
questioning the thesis that the body is a fixed base upon which is founded the
gender. From a bibliographic study, presents arguments that show the body
and sex involved in intense discursive practices on the “I†and the social order;
and therefore also in dynamic instances and mutable. The work investigates
some contemporary constructions around the body, highlighting questions
caused by the growth of the practice of “assisted reproductionâ€. Want to thus
contribute to the development gender studies in the field of social service,
encouraging analyses that consider the social, historical and cultural contexts
that articulate the experiences marked by gender, as well as the formulation
of public policies in this area.
