O presente trabalho objetiva decolonizar o conceito de mulher, analisando-o com base nas epistemologias do Sul. Este estudo é essencial para compreender a posição atual da mulher na sociedade, no mercado de trabalho, na política e na família, inserindo-a no papel de protagonista social. A pesquisa utiliza uma abordagem interdisciplinar, combinando análises históricas, sociológicas e jurídicas, com revisão bibliográfica e documental. Destaca a imposição da visão europeia, propõe a valorização das diferenças culturais e epistemológicas dos povos originários e conclui que a decolonização do conceito de mulher deve ser conduzida por mulheres, integrando suas formas de pensar e epistemologias.
This study seeks to decolonize the concept of woman by analyzing it through the lens of Southern epistemologies. This research is crucial to understanding the current position of women in society, the labour market, politics, and the family, framing them as social protagonists. The study employs an interdisciplinary approach, combining his-torical, sociological, and legal analyses, alongside a literature and documentary review. It highlights the imposition of the European perspective, advocates for the appreciation of the cultural and epistemological differences of indigenous peoples and concludes that the decolonization of the concept of woman should be led by women, integrating their ways of thinking and epistemologies.
