Este artigo examina a relevância da linguagem simples na comunicação governamental brasileira, destacando seu papel na promoção da transparência, inclusão social e eficiência administrativa. A partir de dados de alfabetização de instituições como INAF e PISA, bem como análises de estudos de caso, o texto discute as barreiras impostas pelo uso de linguagem complexa e apresenta as diretrizes de simplificação textual. Além disso, são abordadas iniciativas legais, como a Política Municipal de Linguagem Simples de São Paulo, além das práticas de incentivo ao uso da Linguagem Simples no âmbito do Poder Judiciário, ilustrando boas práticas para aplicação em escala nacional.
