Esse artigo relata o trabalho com oficinas sobre gênero e sexualidade realizadas pelo (In)Serto – Núcleo pela diversidade sexual e de gênero da Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros – Unimontes, um projeto de extensão universitária ligado ao Departamento de Educação e à Pró-Reitoria de Extensão da referida universidade. Conta-se brevemente a história do projeto, como são as oficinas, seus objetivos, os materiais e métodos utilizados. Apresentamos e analisamos a Cartilha Inserta, principal material utilizado nas oficinas e tecemos considerações tanto teóricas quanto práticas, a partir da experiência de trabalho. Ressalta-se a relevância e a urgência de trabalhos como esse em uma região bastante carente no combate à vulnerabilidade da população LGBTIQ+, como é o norte do estado de Minas Gerais.
This article reports the work with workshops on gender and sexuality carried out by (In)Serto – Center for the Sexual and Gender Diversity of the State University of Montes Claros (Unimontes), a university extension project linked to the Department of Education and the Dean of Extension of said university. The history of the project is briefly described, as are the workshops, their objectives, the materials and methods used. We present and analyze the CartilhaInserta, the main material used in the workshops, and we make both theoretical and practical considerations based on work experience. The relevance and urgency of such work in a region that is very lacking in the fight against the vulnerability of the LGBTIQ+ population, as the north of the state of Minas Gerais, is highlighted.
