A partir de alguns pressupostos levantados por Eduardo Prado Coelho (2004) e Isabel Allegro de Magalhães (2002), pretendo analisar o romance de Maria Isabel Barreno, Os outros legítimos superiores (1970), gestado e escrito ao longo da década de 1960, demonstrando como a escritora portuguesa, nesse período de intensas inovações no cenário literário, procurou outras formas de criar ficção, inserindo-se no percurso inventivo deste período.
Based on some assumptions raised by Eduardo Prado Coelho (2004) and Isabel Allegro de Magalhães (2002), I intend to analyze Maria Isabel Barreno’s novel, Os outros legítimos superiores (1970), conceived and written throughout the 1960s, demonstrating how the Portuguese writer, in this period of intense innovations in the literary scene, sought other ways of creating fiction, inserting herself into the inventive path of this period.
