Este ensaio atesta a teoria da Utilidade Social como a que melhor explica a conexão entre bancos comunitários e cidadania. Adotando a revisão sistemática de literatura como estratégia de pesquisa, a análise de 72 trabalhos coletados em bases virtuais de periódicos e anais de eventos possibilitou reflexões sobre diversas teorias, dentre elas, as teorias da Utilidade Social e Cidadania. No eixo teórico, o estudo colabora com a análise conjunta dessas duas teorias, até então estudadas isoladamente. No eixo de gestão, contribui para a efetividade das práticas dos bancos comunitários na oferta de produtos e serviços voltados à promoção da cidadania.
This essay attests to the theory of Social Utility as the one that best explains the connection between community banks and citizenship. Adopting the systematic literature review as a research strategy, the analysis of 72 papers collected in virtual databases of journals and annals of events allowed reflections on several theories, among them, the theories of Social Utility and Citizenship. In the theoretical axis, the study collaborates with the joint analysis of these two theories, until then studied in isolation. In the management axis, it contributes to the effectiveness of community banking practices in offering products and services aimed at promoting citizenship.
